Honoring My Son Paul Murphy

There’s a place within my heart
Time can never touch,
A place where your laughter still echoes
And your love still means so much.

Though heaven called your name away
Far sooner than I planned,
I still feel you walking with me
Though I can’t hold your hand.

I honor you in quiet moments,
In sunsets soft and gold,
In every memory we shared
And every story told.

I honor you through tears that fall
And strength I never knew,
Because surviving every day
Means carrying the love of you.

Some say time will heal the pain,
But grief does not depart,
It simply teaches us to live
With missing pieces in our heart.

You were my pride, my joy, my son,
A light that still remains,
And even death cannot erase
The bond love always claims.

So today I speak your name with pride,
Not only loss and sorrow,
Because your life still shapes my soul
And gives me strength tomorrow.

Until the day we meet again
Beyond this earthly sky,
I’ll honor you with every breath
My son… my heart… my why.
