My Darling

My darling,
Loving you from a distance
Feels heavier
Than my heart was made to carry.

What am I meant to do
With a love
That reaches for you
Yet cannot hold you?

My darling,
I know you feel it too —
The quiet truth
Neither of us can deny.

And still,
Fear stands between us,
As you hesitate
At the edge of faith,
Unsure if we should fall
Into what waits for us.

My darling, my darling,
It breaks something inside me
To watch our love
Remain untouched,
Left waiting
Like a promise never claimed.

Still, I stay.
I am here for you,
Even when loving you
Comes with pain.

My darling,
I love you —
A truth unchanged
By distance, doubt, or time.

And know this:
My love for you
Will always remain.
